Be part of Sunday mornings at First Presbyterian Church.

Come worship and learn with us!

Traditional worship services at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary from September - mid-June; 9:00 a.m. service moves to our historic chapel during the summer months. (Our sound system in the sanctuary permits those among us with hearing aids with a T-coil  or telephone switch to tune-in more clearly on what's being said. All that's needed is the simple flip of the switch. On Sundays head phones are also available in the narthex for those who don't have such hearing aids or any hearing aid at all. Please see an usher for further information or to request an earphone unit.)

Worship encompasses a wide range of feelings and experiences; the hope of Advent, the joy of Christmas and Easter, the grief of Good Friday, the excitement of family baptisms and confirmations, and the emotions of funerals and weddings.

Experience our music!
Like candles, banners, and stained glass windows, in the Protestant tradition music helps to lead us on our faith journey. Styles of music are varied. There is reverence and majesty in Handel's Messiah; faith and determination in traditional American hymns and gospel music; beauty in the music of contemporary composers; and playfulness in the love of God expressed in rhythmic African processions. All have a place in both performed and participatory music in worship services at First Presbyterian Church.

Child care at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Loving care in a modern, well-equipped nursery for infants to 18 months. Pager devices are available so parents can be worry-free. Our caregivers take good care of your children.

Toddlers (18 months to 3 years) have their own separate area for play including tables and chairs just their size.

Adult classes at 9:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Adults increase their understanding and grow in their faith - Bible Discovery class meets each Sunday. A variety of adult education topics are explored throughout the year during this education hour.

Children's church school at 10:30 a.m.

Every Sunday preschoolers enjoy simple lessons through artwork and stories in their own classroom.

Each Sunday, children are excused before the sermon and reading of scriptures so their faith can be nurtured using lessons, song and art in age-appropriate groups.
